Mintec launches Sunflower Meal Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec has launched weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Sunflower meal CIF China, effective from Friday, 30th June 2023.

The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 16th June 2023, which can be found here.

The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Sunflower meal is used in both food and animal feed, with China accounting for about 30% of global imports. The launch of this assessment will allow Mintec subscribers to monitor prices in one of the world's largest importers and provide a more granular view of the global vegetable meal markets.
