Mintec proposes to launch Sunflower Meal Mintec Benchmark Prices 

Mintec is proposing to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Sunflower Meal CIF China and  is collecting feedback from market participants in the vegetable oils market until Thursday, 15th June 2023. Mintec is proposing to launch this assessment, if supported by the industry, on Friday 30th June, 2023.

The proposed specifications for this assessments would be as below: 

 

The proposed assessment would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Sunflower meal is used in both food and animal feed with China accounting for about 30% of global imports.  The launch of these assessments would allow Mintec subscribers to monitor prices in one of the world's largest importers and provide a more granular look at the global vegetable meal markets.
