Mintec to launch US Soybean Meal Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Soybean meal FOB US Gulf. The assessments will begin publication effective from Tuesday, 26th September 2023. The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here.   

The specification for this assessment will be as below:   

The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.  

Soybean meal is commonly used as a protein source in animal feed and the US is a major producer and exporter. The assessment will complement Mintec’s existing soybean meal coverage and allow for additional granularity of comparison between major exporting origins.
