Mintec to launch Turkish hazelnut Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch two weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices for Turkish origin hazelnuts, kernel size 13/15mm. The publication of the new assessments will start from Wednesday 31st May, 2023.

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00 London time.

Turkey is the largest exporter of hazelnuts and Mintec already assesses Mintec Benchmark Prices for Turkish origin hazelnut kernels sized 11-13mm, which are smaller in size to the new assessments. Kernels sized 13/15mm are commonly traded and the assessments will complement Mintec’s existing offering and provide Mintec customers a detailed look at the price differentials between the two major size grades of hazelnut kernels.
