Mintec to launch Soybean Oil CIF India Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Soybean Oil CIF India. The launch date will be Friday, 29th September 2023. 
The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023, which can be viewed here.

 

The specifications for these assessments will be as below:   

The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

India is one of the largest global importers of vegetable oils including soybean oil. The assessment will complement Mintec’s existing Indian vegetable oil coverage and allow Mintec subscribers to monitor prices for one of the world’s largest importers.
