Mintec to launch Scottish Packing Potato Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch two weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Scottish packing potatoes. The assessments will begin publication effective from Wednesday, 6^th September 2023. The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here.

The specifications for the assessments will be as below:

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

The assessments will complement Mintec’s existing packing potato coverage and provide Mintec subscribers additional granularity and insight into the UK potato markets.
