Mintec to launch Russian Feed Barley Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Russian Feed Barley. The assessment will begin publication effective from Friday, 15th September 2023. The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here.

The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Russia is a major exporter of feed barley and is a key driver of price formation in the global barley markets. The assessment will provide additional granularity to Mintec’s existing global feed barley coverage and allow Mintec subscribers to compare prices between reliable benchmarks for major producing and exporting countries.
