Mintec to launch new daily Soybean Oil Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch new daily Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Argentinian Soybean Oil. The publication of the new assessment will be effective from Tuesday, 14th March 2023. 

The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on 15th February 2023 and can be viewed here.  

The  Mintec Code of the new assessment will be SBOA and customers can access this through the Mintec Analytics platform.

The new assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.  
 
Soybean oil is one of the most widely used vegetable oils globally, used in both food and as feedstock for biodiesel, with Argentina being one of the major South American producers. The launch of this assessment will give users greater clarity in understanding price movements.
