Mintec to launch Argentinian and US Gulf Soybean Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Soybean FOB Argentina and Soybean FOB US Gulf. The launch date will be Friday, 29th September 2023. 
The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023, which can be viewed here.


The specifications for these assessments will be as below:   

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

The USA and Argentina are major soybean producers and exporters and play a vital role in supplying soybeans to the global market. The assessments will complement Mintec’s existing soybean coverage and allow for Mintec subscribers to compare prices between major exporting origins.
