Mintec proposes to launch Sunflower Oil and Palm Oil Indian Mintec Benchmark Prices 

Mintec is proposing to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Sunflower Oil and Palm Oil CIF India and  is collecting feedback from market participants in the vegetable oils market until Thursday, 15th June 2023. Mintec is proposing to launch this assessment, if supported by the industry, on Friday 30th June, 2023.

The proposed specifications for these assessments would be as below: 

The proposed assessment would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

India is the largest global importer of vegetable oils including sunflower oil and palm oil. The launch of these assessments would allow Mintec subscribers to monitor prices for the world's largest importer and provide a more granular look at the global vegetable oil markets.
