Mintec proposes to launch new Ukrainian Feed Wheat Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec is proposing to launch new weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Ukrainian feed wheat and is collecting feedback from market participants in the grains markets until Friday, 31st March 2023.

If the industry supports this proposal, Mintec suggests launching this assessment on Friday, 21st April 2023.

The proposed specification for this assessment would be as below:

The proposed assessment would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. 

Feed wheat is one of the grains with the highest amount of protein available and is an important source of energy in animal feed. Ukraine is a large producer of animal feed; therefore, the new assessment will support the demand for such a benchmark and would provide and independent reference point for the industry.
