Mintec proposes to launch new Soybean Oil Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec is proposing to launch new daily Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Argentinian Soybean Oil and is collecting feedback from market participants in the vegetable oil markets until Tuesday, 28th February 2023.

The proposed specification for this assessment would be as below:

The proposed assessment would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Soybean oil is one of the most widely used vegetable oils globally, used in both food and as feedstock for biodiesel, with Argentina being one of the major South American producers. The launch of this assessment would give users greater clarity in understanding price movements.
