Mintec launches Ukrainian Feed Wheat Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Ukrainian Feed Wheat, effective from Friday, 21st April 2023. 

The initial proposal to launch this assessment was announced in a market note published on 17th March 2023 which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 3rd April 2023, which can be found here.

The assessment reflects the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Feed wheat is one of the grains with the highest amount of protein available and is an important source of energy in animal feed. Ukraine is a large producer of animal feed; therefore, the assessment supports the demand for such a benchmark and provides an independent reference point for the industry.
