Mintec launches Ukrainian Feed Barley Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Ukrainian feed barley, effective from Friday, 30th June 2023. 

The initial proposal to launch this assessment was announced in a market note published on 1st June 2023 which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 16th June 2023, which can be found here.

The assessment reflects the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Ukraine is a key producer and exporter of barley, accounting for 13% of the world barley market. The assessment provides an independent FOB Benchmark for the industry and provides Mintec subscribers additional granularity and insight into the Ukrainian feed grains market.
