Mintec launches South American Soybean meal Mintec Benchmark Prices

 Mintec has launched two weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for South American Soybean meal. effective Friday, 30th June 2023.

The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 16th June 2023, which can be found here. 

The specifications for the assessments will be as below:

 

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Soybean meal is commonly used as a protein source in animal feed and Brazil and Argentina are major producers and exporters. The launch of these assessments will give Mintec subscribers additional insight into the global oilseed meal markets and allow for additional granularity of comparison between origins and oilseed meals.
