Mintec launches monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices for US IQF Raspberry and Blackberry

Mintec has launched four US IQF Raspberry and one US IQF Blackberry monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) assessments effective Friday, March 31^st, 2023. 

The initial proposal to launch these assessments was announced in a market note published on February 27^th, 2023 and can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on March 17^th, 2023, and can be found here.

The new assessments reflect the transactable value on the last business day of each month at 16:00:00 US Eastern time.   

These Mintec Benchmark Prices will address the lack of transparency in the US frozen and processed fruit industry as US frozen fruit sales reached $1.5 billion in 2021/22. These MBP will aid industry participants to reliably, and independently, benchmark their transactions for the first time.
