Mintec launches Ivory Coast cashew Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec has launched weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices for Ivory Coast cashews, WW320 grade, effective Wednesday 31st May, 2023.

The initial proposal was announced in a market note which can be viewed here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 17th May 2023, which can be found here.

The assessment reflects the transactable value at 16:00 London time.

The Ivory Coast is increasing in importance as a cashew supplier, with higher volumes of raw cashew nuts being processed within the country and exported as kernels, rather than being shipped and processed in hubs such as Vietnam. The assessment provides increased transparency and an independent benchmark for this growing exporter. Additionally, the assessment allows for Mintec customers to better understand the price relationship between the benchmark WW320 grade, between the Ivory Coast and other major exporting regions.
