Mintec launches French Rapeseed Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Rapeseed FOB France. 

The initial proposal to launch this assessment was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023 which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 15th September 2023, which can be found here.

The assessment reflects the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. 

France is the largest producer of rapeseed in Europe and is a major player in the global rapeseed markets. The assessment allows Mintec subscribers to monitor physical French rapeseed prices and provides a more granular look at the global oilseed markets.
