Mintec launches delivered High Fructose Corn Syrup, Dextrose, and Sugar Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec has launched weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for delivered high fructose corn syrup (42% and 55% dextrose equivalent), dextrose (liquid and dry), as well as cane sugar and beet sugar effective Thursday, September 21st, 2023.

The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on August 15th, 2023, and can be viewed here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on August 31st, 2023, and can be found here.

The assessments reflect the transactable value every Thursday at 16:00:00 US Eastern time.

Due to the opaque nature of the US sugar and sweetener industry, reliable benchmarks are difficult to find. The complex nature of the industry, with high levels of trade protectionism and variable input

costs, has led to high demand for such benchmarks. These Mintec Benchmark Prices would provide an independent reference point for the industry.
