Mintec launches Argentinian Corn Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Argentinian corn, effective from Friday, 15th September 2023.  

The initial proposal to launch this assessment was announced in a market note published on 11th August 2023 which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 29th August 2023, which can be found here.

The assessment reflects the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. 

Argentina is the third largest corn exporter and plays a vital role in supplying corn to the global market. The assessment provides additional granularity to Mintec’s existing global corn coverage and allows Mintec subscribers to compare prices between reliable benchmarks for major producing and exporting countries.
