Mintec launches additional European Dairy Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched 2 monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for European dairy products.
The initial proposal was announced in the market note published on 31st August 2023, which can be viewed here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in market notes on September 15th, 2023, which can be viewed here.

The specifications for these assessments are as below:

The assessments reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Milk powders are used as an alternative to fresh milk. They can be used after dissolution in water or by direct adding the powder into a formulation. It is used to standardize dry matter or to optimize protein content. Milk powders are widely traded export products which are used in a variety of food and nutrition products. 
Europe is a major producer and exporter of milk powders and the assessments provide Mintec subscribers with increased granularity and insight into these key markets.
