MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

The successful candidate will be a valuable member of the forecasting team and will update and develop analyses of market developments within a range of commodities, including metals, energy sources, plastics, and edibles. As a student employee at Mintec you will be able to schedule your working hours to a great extent. The working hours will be 15-20 per week. We expect a certain degree of flexibility near deadlines, but we will accommodate your requests in relation to your exams and schedule.

The successful candidate will be a valuable team member, developing digital marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness and generate qualified sales leads.

 

The role:

The Marketing Campaign Manager will be a crucial member of our Marketing team, managing and executing our Mintec campaign strategy in North America and beyond to drive brand awareness that supports the sales pipeline and drives targeted new logo demand generation.

The role involves everything from developing and managing the overall campaign calendar, execution and development of the campaign strategy, end to end delivery of campaigns, measurement and analytics to ensure we are achieving ROI.

  • Collect transactional market insights as well as pricing data that will be relevant to publishing reports, and news stories or assess the Mintec Benchmark Prices in line with Mintec’s robust methodology, price specifications and IOSCO-compliant principles.
  • Follow procedures to continue to build and maintain Mintec’s proprietary data.
  • Write regular pricing rationales, reports and analytical pieces.
  • Handle questions from contacts and the market about the dynamics of particular pricing, seeking guidance from your manager when inquiries are sensitive, to make our processes and judgement transparent to the market.
  • Publishing Mintec Benchmark Prices and Mintec reports to an agreed schedule

Recommended Skills and Experience:

  • At least one year of experience working with industrial commodities such as metals, energy, chemicals, pulp & paper, or similar.
  • A strong understanding of what impacts physical commodity prices, with experience in fundamentals analysis and report-writing, as well as a knowledge of incoterms, trade flows and value chains.
  • A high standard of written work and ability to summarise complex topics for a broad audience.
  • Highly numerate with a keen eye for detail; very comfortable using MS Excel and performing various types of data analysis.
  • Knowledge of hedging and financial risk management of commodities.
  • Experience of working independently, with a self-starter attitude that is well-served in growing and maintaining a network of industry contacts for market knowledge and price collection.
  • Business-level German would be considered a plus.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
