The job entails managing a large number of clients through an automated client journey, completing clerical tasks relating to product installations and be the point of contact for users questions. The key objective for the entire Client Success team is to ensure maximum client retention and this role is integral to ensure our self-sufficient clients and users have everything they need to use our data and analytics platform.

Mintec is rapidly growing, serving this huge and burgeoning global market, and is seeking an ambitious Architect to join our Technology team. Using best in class proprietary price forecasting methodology, the Forecast team analyse and forecast a wide range of food and non-food commodity prices to provide purchasing recommendations and pivotal insight to our clients.

The successful candidate will be a valuable member of the Forecasting team, overseeing commodity price forecasts and delivering hedging recommendations to Mintec’s customers.

The role:

  • Working collaboratively with Product Management, Head of Technology and both internal and external development teams, understand the goals of the business and translate those into technical solutions

    • Working closely with our Product Manager to help formulate and plan product software maintenance initiatives into version release plans

    • Ensuring security is considered early and part of all new enhancements to our platform and product portfolio.

    • Input into budgeting and cost management for all internal and externally developed systems

    • Monitoring and collaborating on assigned projects in accordance with the architectural vision and the standards you define

    • Collaborating closely with and providing direction to the third-party development team including business analysts, developers, and testers. Contributing when necessary to the solution or supporting as required

    • Monitoring and assessing the quality of the deliverables against the architecture and technology standards

    • Maintain architectural and design documentation to ensure it reflects the current state

    • Hands-on and in touch with the implementation, identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback during reviews

    • Responsible for ensuring all policies and procedures are followed to ensure adherence to the ISO 27001 standard

    • Responsible for ensuring objectives and tasks set adhere to the requirements of the ISO 27001 standard

     

Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or another tier one hosting provider

  • Build and grow the number of industry contacts in the fruit and vegetable sector that submit pricing data, using all means of communication including face-to-face meetings and networking.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals, supply chain and key participants in the fruit and vegetable commodity markets.
  • Collect transactional pricing data, bids, offers, tenders and any other information that will be relevant to assessing Mintec Benchmark Prices in line with Mintec’s robust methodology, price specifications and IOSCO-compliant principles.
  • Follow procedures to continue to build and maintain Mintec’s proprietary data.
  • Write regular pricing rationales, reports and analytical pieces.
  • Handle questions from contacts and the market about the dynamics of particular pricing, seeking guidance from your manager when inquiries are sensitive, to make our processes and judgement transparent to the market.
  • Publishing new Mintec Benchmark Prices to the agreed schedule.
