There is a strong demand for the export of potatoes from Belgium. Bintje potatoes hold a slight premium over Fontane potatoes.  -   - **Price assessment: **The Mintec Benchmark Price for Bintje processing potatoes in Belgium (Mintec Code: POBE) was assessed at €110/MT, up 10% w-o-w.   #### Wheat Milling     - **Market Sentiment:** At the close of trading last week, market sentiment for the Ukrainian milling wheat was **bearish**.  Market players have reported that there were a lot of vessels lined up in the Ukrainian deep-sea ports last week, approximately 24 vessels, out of which 12 were Panamax. Thus, this showed competition between the Danube and Odesa ports. Small volumes were traded in CPT levels, but higher liquidity continued at Odesa port.  -   - **Market observation: ** According to market players, there are more vessels scheduled to leave the Ukrainian deep-sea ports in the coming weeks. The market will be watching how the situation evolves; if there are severe attacks targeting Ukrainian exports then prices may react higher. -   - **Price Assessment: **The Mintec Benchmark Prices for Ukrainian milling wheat grade 3 cpt (Mintec Code: 0V17) was assessed at $154.25/mt, down $13/mt compared to the previous week.  -   #### ** Soyabean meal  **   - **Market Sentiment:** At the close of trading last week, market sentiment for Argentinian soyabean meal was **bullish**.  -   - According to market players, adverse weather conditions in Argentina’s soyabean growing region are pushing buying interest to the US and boosting soyabean meal prices.  -   - **Market Observations:** Weather patterns will be a watch point as adverse conditions could lead to global soybean and soybean oil or meal tightness. -   - **Price Assessment:** The Mintec Benchmark Prices for Argentinian soyabean meal (Mintec Code: SBM5) was assessed at $509.5/mt, up $50/mt compared to the previous week.  - ** ** -   #### Sweet Whey Powder (SWP)    - **Market Sentiment:** At the close of trading last week, market sentiment in the Poland SWP market was **bullish**.   -   - **Market Observations:** Following prices rises in West Europe, market participants continued to trade higher during last week in the Polish market due to tightening supplies in the market. Also, the Polish Zloty revalued against the Euro, resulting in higher prices for Polish SWP, while the price spread between Polish and West EU widened this week. -   - **Price Assessment:** The Mintec Benchmark Prices for sweet whey powder feed grade EXW Poland (MBP) [Mintec Code: UW58] was assessed at €900.00/mt, up €90.00/mt compared to the previous week.     **Lactose 100 Mesh **    - **Market Sentiment:** At the close of trading last week, market sentiment for the Lactose 100 Mesh was **bullish**.   -   - **Market Observations:** Domestic and international demand has increased notably over the past two weeks, supporting the upward price movement. While supply remained stable on the week.   -   - **Price Assessment:** The MBP for Lactose 100 mesh EXW Europe [Mintec Code: 3C01] was assessed at €625 /mt on 19th October, an increase of €75/mt on the week.   #### German Pork Carcass Grade E     - **Market Sentiment:** At the close of trading last week, market sentiment for the German pork meat was **bearish**.  -   - **Market observation: ** Weak domestic and international demand continues to challenge pork producers across Germany and remains the primary driver behind the reported bearish sentiment. -   - **Price Assessment: **The MBP for Pig Deadweight Grade E EXW Germany [Mintec Code: BW04] was assessed at €2.24/kg on 17th October, a decrease of €0.10/kg on the week.
