Mintec to launch Ukrainian Feed Wheat Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch a weekly Mintec Benchmark Price (MBP) for Ukrainian Feed Wheat. The assessment will begin publication effective from Friday, 21st April 2023. The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here.

The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Feed wheat is one of the grains with the highest amount of protein available and is an important source of energy in animal feed. Ukraine is a large producer of animal feed; therefore, the assessment will support the demand for such a benchmark and would provide an independent reference point for the industry.
