Mintec to launch South American Soybean Meal Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch two weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for South American Soybean Meal. The assessments will begin publication effective from Friday, 30th June 2023. The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here.

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Soybean meal is commonly used as a protein source in animal feed and Brazil and Argentina are major producers and exporters. The launch of these assessments will give Mintec subscribers additional insight into the global vegetable meals markets and allow for additional granularity of comparison between origins and vegetable meals.
