Mintec to launch French Rapeseed Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Rapeseed FOB France. The launch date will be Friday, 29th September 2023. 
The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023, which can be viewed here.

 

The specifications for these assessments will be as below:   

The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. 

France is the largest producer of rapeseed in Europe and is a major player in the global rapeseed markets. The assessment will allow Mintec subscribers to monitor physical French rapeseed prices and provide a more granular look at the global oilseed markets.
