The publication of the new assessment will be effective from **Friday 31st March 2023**.     The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on** 27th February 2023 **and can be viewed [here](https://www.mintecglobal.com/mintec-proposes-to-launch-organic-extra-virgin-olive-oil-assessments?hsLang=en).      The specification for these assessments will be as below:   ![](https://www.mintecglobal.com/hubfs/undefined-Mar-15-2023-09-17-07-8739-AM.png) The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.  Organic extra virgin olive oil’s market share is growing, as consumers look to pesticide-free food items. However, the organic olive oil market is opaque, with little pricing and market information available.
