Mintec to launch China Delivered Sunflower Oil and Rapeseed Oil Mintec Benchmark Price

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has decided to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Sunflower Oil and Rapeseed Oil CIF China. The assessments will begin publication effective from Tuesday, 26th September 2023. The initial proposal was communicated in a market note which can be found here.

The assessments will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

China is one of the largest global importers of vegetable oils including sunflower oil and rapeseed oil. The assessments will allow Mintec subscribers to monitor prices for one of the world’s largest importers and provide a more granular look at the global vegetable oil markets.
