The publication of the new assessments will be effective from **Thursday 30th March 2023.  ** The initial proposal was announced in a market note published on **27th February 2023** and can be viewed[ here.](https://www.mintecglobal.com/mintec-proposes-to-launch-additional-palm-kernel-palm-stearin-assessments?hsLang=en)     The proposed specifications for these assessments will be as below:  ![](https://www.mintecglobal.com/hubfs/undefined-Mar-15-2023-09-25-48-2529-AM.png) The assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.  Palm oil is one of the most widely used oils in the world, having both significant food and industrial applications.
