Mintec proposes to launch Turkish dairy Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec is proposing to launch two monthly Turkish dairy Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) and is collecting feedback from market participants in the dairy markets until Monday, 24th April 2023.

If the industry supports this proposal, Mintec suggests launching the assessments on Wednesday, 31st May.

The proposed specifications for the assessments would be as below:

The proposed assessments would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Turkey is a major dairy producer and key exporter into price-sensitive markets. The launch of the new assessments would provide greater clarity into price movements within the Turkish dairy markets. Additionally, the launch of these assessments would allow for Mintec customers to better understand global dairy market dynamics by benchmarking Turkish prices for two key export products against the other major exporting countries.
