Mintec proposes to launch Soybean Oil CIF India Mintec Benchmark Prices

Mintec is proposing to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Soybean Oil CIF India and is collecting feedback from market participants in the oilseed markets until Thursday, 14th September 2023. 

Mintec is proposing to launch this assessment, if supported by the industry, on Friday, 29th September 2023. 

The proposed specification for this assessment would be as below:

The proposed assessment would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

India is one of the largest global importers of vegetable oils including soybean oil. The proposed assessment would complement Mintec's existing Indian vegetable oil coverage and allow Mintec subscribers to monitor prices for one of the world's largest importers.
