Mintec is collecting feedback on this proposal from any market participants until **13 February 2023**. ![Almond Spec Table Jan 2023 (002)-JPG-1](https://www.mintecglobal.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Almond%20Spec%20Table%20Jan%202023%20(002)-JPG-1.jpeg?width=1266&height=109&name=Almond%20Spec%20Table%20Jan%202023%20(002)-JPG-1.jpeg) The proposed assessments would reflect the transactable value at 16:00 London time for the prices of a 40ft container of almonds on a per pound basis. Mintec already assesses Mintec Benchmark Prices for Carmel Type Supreme 23/25 & 27/30, which are larger and smaller in size to the proposed assessment. The proposed assessment would complement Mintec’s existing offering and provide additional transparency into the price differentials between almonds of differing sizes, due to the increased granularity offered to market participants. This is particularly important due the ongoing droughts in California which have reduced the proportion of US almonds growing to larger sized kernels.
