Mintec proposes to launch French Rapeseed Mintec Benchmark Price

Mintec is proposing to launch weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Rapeseed FOB France and is collecting feedback from market participants in the oilseed markets until Thursday, 14th September 2023. 

Mintec is proposing to launch this assessment, if supported by the industry, on Friday, 29th September 2023. 

The proposed specification for this assessment would be as below:

The proposed assessment would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

France is the largest producer of rapeseed in Europe and is a major player in the global rapeseed markets. The proposed assessment would allow Mintec subscribers to monitor physical French rapeseed prices and provide a more granular look at the global oilseed markets.
