If the industry supports this proposal, Mintec suggests launching the monthly assessments on Friday, 29th September. The proposed specifications for these assessments would be as below: ![](https://www.mintecglobal.com/hubfs/image-png-Aug-31-2023-05-46-25-5563-PM.png) The proposed assessments would reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. Milk powders are used as an alternative to fresh milk. They can be used after dissolution in water or by directly adding the powder into a formulation. It is used to standardize dry matter or to optimize protein content. Milk powders are widely traded export products which are used in a variety of food and nutrition products.  Europe is a major producer and exporter of milk powders, and the proposed assessments would provide Mintec subscribers with increased granularity and insight into these key markets.
