Mintec Launches US Pecan Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched two monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices for pecans FOB US. 

The initial proposal to launch this assessment was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023 which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 15th September 2023, which can be found here. 

The specifications for these assessments is as below: 

The assessments reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.   

The US is a major pecan exporter, and the assessments provide Mintec subscribers with insight into two commonly traded grades of pecan kernels. This will further enhance market participants ability to manage risk and track price trends in the global nut markets.
