Mintec launches Russian Milling Wheat Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched two weekly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Russian milling wheat 11.5% & 13.5% protein, effective from Friday, 30th June 2023. 

The initial proposal to launch this assessment was announced in a market note published on 1st June 2023 which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 16th June 2023, which can be found here.

The assessments reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

Russia's milling wheat production has risen by more than 60% over the last decade, and it has become the world's largest wheat exporter in recent years. Mintec already assesses Mintec Benchmark Prices for Russian milling wheat 12.5% protein. The assessments complement Mintec’s existing coverage and provide Mintec subscribers additional granularity and insight into the commonly traded grades of Russian origin milling wheat.
