Mintec launches Oilseed Meal Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched monthly Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Soybean meal FOB Rotterdam. 

The initial proposal to launch this assessment was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023 which can be found here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 15th September 2023, which can be found here.

The assessment reflects the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. 

Soybean meal is commonly used as a protein source in animal feed. The assessment complements Mintec’s existing oilseed meal coverage and provides Mintec subscribers with a more granular look at the European animal feed markets.
