Mintec launches new Mintec Benchmark Prices for Argentinian Soybean Oil

Mintec has launched new daily Mintec Benchmark Prices for Argentinian Soybean Oil, effective Tuesday 14th March 2023. The initial proposal to launch this assessment was published in a market note published on 15th February 2023 and can be found here and the decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 28th February which can be found here.

The new assessment will reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time. 

Soybean oil is one of the most widely used vegetable oils globally, used in both food and as feedstock for biodiesel, with Argentina being one of the major South American producers. The launch of this assessment gives users greater clarity in understanding price movements.
