The initial proposal to launch these assessments was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023, which can be viewed [here](https://www.mintecglobal.com/mintec-proposes-to-launch-argentinian-and-us-gulf-soybean-mintec-benchmark-prices?hsLang=en). The USA and Argentina are major soybean producers and exporters and play a vital role in supplying soybeans to the global market. The assessments complement Mintec’s existing soybean coverage and allows for Mintec subscribers to compare prices between major exporting origins.
