Mintec launches Argentinian and US Gulf Soybean Mintec Benchmark Prices

Following a period of market feedback, Mintec has launched Mintec Benchmark Prices (MBP) for Soybean FOB Argentina and Soybean FOB US Gulf.

The initial proposal to launch these assessments was announced in a market note published on 31st August 2023, which can be viewed here. The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on 15th September 2023, which can be found here.

The assessments reflect the transactable value at 16:00:00 London time.

The USA and Argentina are major soybean producers and exporters and play a vital role in supplying soybeans to the global market. The assessments complement Mintec’s existing soybean coverage and allows for Mintec subscribers to compare prices between major exporting origins.
