The initial proposal to launch these assessments was announced in a market note published on January 11th, 2023 and can be found [here](https://www.mintecglobal.com/mintec-proposes-to-launch-new-us-iqf-strawberry-mintec-benchmark-prices?hsLang=en). The decision to go ahead with the launch was communicated in a market note on February 3rd, 2023, and can be found [here](https://www.mintecglobal.com/mintec-to-launch-new-us-iqf-strawberry-mintec-benchmark-prices?hsLang=en). The assessments, including their specifications, are:  ![](https://www.mintecglobal.com/hubfs/image-png-Feb-28-2023-09-33-38-5672-PM.png)   The new assessments reflect the transactable value on the last business day of each month at 16:00:00 US Eastern time.   These Mintec Benchmark Prices will address the lack of transparency in the US frozen and processed fruit industry as US frozen fruit sales reached $1.5 billion in 2021/22. These MBP will aid industry participants to reliably, and independently, benchmark their transactions for the first time.
