Mintec wants to clarify the specifications for several Dairy Mintec Benchmark Prices as follows.
The fresh milk assessment with the Mintec Code ED24 represents a minimum traded quantity of 25,000kg in a bulk tanker.
The skimmed milk concentrate assessment with the Mintec Code SMCE represents a minimum traded quantity of 25,000 litres in a bulk tanker with a minimum dry matter content of 8.75mt.
The skimmed milk power assessments with the Mintec Codes J117, JR62 & JR78 represent food grade, medium heat skimmed milk powder with a maximum fat content of 1.5%.
The whey powder assessments with the Mintec Codes BL131, JR66, JR80, BL134, WCIEU, WCREU, WCIUS, WCRUS, WIEU & WIUS represent food grade products.
The whey protein concentrate assessment with the Mintec Code DU14 represents a food grade whey protein concentrate with a protein content of 34-36%.
The whole milk powder assessments with the Mintec Codes JR77, J118 & JR61 represent food grade products.
The skimmed milk power assessment (Mintec Code: J117) represents a spray dried product.
The fresh milk assessment (Mintec Code: JQ45) represents milk with a minimum fat percentage of 3.5%, and a protein content of 3.2-3.6%.
